We are an independent church, established over 20 years ago with a broadly evangelical basis. Our church family comprises around 100 adults, plus a number of young families from babes in arms to mid-teens. We meet every Sunday in the town's main arts centre 'The Mill' where we also have an office and small meeting room, plus place an emphasis on Life Groups that meet weekly or bi-weekly in peoples' homes. During the pandemic we have used Zoom and Facebook Live extensively to maintain our ministry, returning to The Mill on Sunday 5th September in person, but still currently broadcasting live via Zoom. The church operates a Sports and Community Centre on behalf of the local authority, plus Faithworks Furniture Project which serves around 200 families/individuals per annum. Faithworks collects and cleans/repairs donated furniture and furnishings to those in need that are referred by statutory and voluntary agencies. As a result we already serve a number of asylum seekers and refugees, but currently via other agencies. We have just appointed a new Church Leader - Simon Lawton will take up this role on Monday 20th September.
