The Chinese Evangelical Church in Edinburgh is a Chinese church founded in 1996 by a group of Chinese Christians based in Edinburgh but originally from Hong Kong. The church has a congregation of around 100 people. The church is made up of people with different backgrounds and circumstances, including long-term Edinburgh residents, international students. There are on average 20 children attend Sunday School every week. The church meets on Sunday afternoons at Mayfield Salisbury Parish Church and its services are bilingual: in Cantonese and Mandarin with synchronous translation throughout the 1 Â½ hour service. There is also a separate English-language service for those who prefer to use English.
